About the Role: Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, you'll play a vital role in our day-to-day operations, working closely with our team to ensure the timely and safe transport of cargo. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions.
• Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
• Safely operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas.
• Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customers' destinations.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Our work tasks can be repetitive and may involve bending, lifting, standing, and walking, often in challenging weather conditions. However, we're dedicated to practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all our operational processes and procedures.

Scheduling and Compensation

Scheduling at blithequark is based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. As a Ramp Agent, you'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. We're offering a competitive starting pay of $16.55 per hour, with regular pay increases over the next 10.5 years.

What You Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications

To join our team as a Ramp Agent, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data.

• Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Be proficient in English.
• Pass a physical ability test (PAT).
• Wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high visibility safety apparel.
