Job Title: Junior Developer
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Python/PHP Developer/Programmer to join our dynamic team. As part of our development team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and functionalities for our SaaS products. Your primary focus will be on developing server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating front-end elements into the application.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure Python/PHP applications.
• Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code following best practices.
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Requirements:
• Proficient in Python and PHP, with a good knowledge of their ecosystems.
• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries for Python and PHP (such as SQLAlchemy, Doctrine, etc.).
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture.
• Experience with PHP frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, etc.) is a plus.
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2, Blade, etc.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Python Developer or PHP Developer/Programmer.
• Additional experience in other programming languages is a plus.
