Our team is seeking an experienced Production IT Support Specialist to provide onsite Level 2 (L2) technical support for the production set up at a corporate production office in Stamford, CT. This is a hands-on deployment and connectivity role focused primarily on workstation setup, physical installation, network connectivity, and printer configuration. The primary objective is to get users fully set up, connected, and operational so that ongoing OS and application-level support can be handled remotely. The environment is fast-paced, time-sensitive, and production-driven. Reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to execute under compressed timelines are critical. Responsibilities 1. Workstation Deployment & Physical Setup. You will deploy pre-imaged, domain-joined Windows laptops (majority environment) and provide limited macOS setup support for a designated executive user. • Installing and configuring dual-monitor workstation setups using docking stations or multi-port connectors • Connecting keyboards, mice, power supplies, and network cabling • Professional cable routing and clean desk setup across the 3rd and 5th floors • Setting up wired LAN connections for editorial users • Connecting basic desktop audio peripherals, including speakers and mixing boards for editors • Verifying power, connectivity, and baseline system functionality prior to handing off to users • Important: All imaging, Active Directory configuration, and baseline provisioning will be completed before deployment. Your responsibility is physical installation, connectivity, and operational readiness. 2. Network, Printer & Copier Configuration (Guest Network Environment). You will configure user connectivity within a managed guest network environment and support show-specific print infrastructure. • Assisting users with WiFi connection and VPN access; and troubleshooting basic LAN, WAN, and WiFi connectivity issues • Coordinating with onsite IT/network personnel for: Wireless IP identification and IP reservations • Escalation of connectivity or performance issues • Physically installing and configuring wired printers • Configuring wireless show-specific copiers (e.g., Kyocera devices) • Performing manual IP address entry and driver installation when network discovery is restricted • Testing and validating print functionality from user workstations • Printer configuration and manual setup in close coordination with other networking teams. 3. Production Launch Support & User Onboarding. You will provide onsite support during production onboarding of up to 70 users. • Desk-side support during onboarding and ensuring users are logged in, connected to network resources, and able to print • Providing basic login and connectivity guidance • Rapidly resolving connectivity blockers during time-sensitive launch periods • Coordinating with Client representatives and other IT personnel for issue escalation • Providing daily activity summaries during the initial two-week deployment period • Once users are successfully connected and operational, ongoing OS and application-level support will transition to remote support teams. Qualifications • 3+ years of hands-on desktop or L2 support experience in Windows environments • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Experience deploying and setting up workstation environments, including dual monitors, docking stations, and peripherals • Experience supporting wired and wireless network connectivity • Experience configuring networked printers and copiers (manual IP and driver installation experience strongly preferred) • Comfortable working in guest network or restricted network environments • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, connectivity, and peripheral setup • Ability to coordinate with third-party or building IT teams • Strong communication and customer service skills • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and bend under desks performing physical hands-on tasks (lifting equipment, routing cables, assembling hardware) • Prompt and responsible with the ability to work onsite five (5) days per week in Stamford, CT Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting corporate or media production office environments • Experience working in multi-tenant or enterprise-managed network environments • Familiarity with editorial workstation setups • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications Additional Details The base pay range for this position is $30-35 per hour, depending on experience. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
