A Little About Us
Höegh Autoliners is a global player in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services and operates the greenest fleet in this segment. The company owns and operates approx. 40 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 16 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. We are working towards a goal of zero emissions by 2040 and have an exciting roadmap to achieve this.
Principal Enterprise Architect
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to act as the senior design authority for our enterprise technology landscape.
This role is suited to a Senior / Principal Architect ready to operate with significant autonomy, influence strategic direction, and shape the long‑term technology foundation of the business. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution, ensuring that platforms, data, integrations, security, and infrastructure evolve coherently and sustainably over time.
For candidates from a consulting background, this is an opportunity to move beyond project‑by‑project influence and take long‑term ownership of enterprise architecture, guiding major technology investments and strategic change.
The role
You will operate close to senior business and technology leaders, translating strategic priorities into architectural direction, sequencing, and investment guidance. You will act as the enterprise design authority, owning the multi‑year enterprise architecture roadmap and providing leadership on high‑impact, cross‑domain initiatives. This includes shaping and governing the adoption of AI‑enabled and data‑driven platforms, including analytics and emerging agent‑based capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem. You will ensure solutions are secure, scalable, well‑governed, and designed for long‑term evolution, while contributing to architectural governance and executive decision‑making by clearly articulating options, implications, and trade‑offs.
What we’re looking for
You are a senior architect with significant experience across applications, data, integration, cloud, and security in complex enterprise environments. You have a strong grounding in enterprise architecture practices (e.g. TOGAF), applied pragmatically, and are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders at executive level. You bring experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms, familiarity with Microsoft Fabric as an integrated data, analytics, Microsoft Foundry as an AI platform, and exposure to AI services and patterns from an architectural and governance perspective. You understand enterprise platforms such as ERP, Salesforce, and finance systems, including legacy modernization, and are an excellent communicator able to explain architectural decisions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Why this role
This is a chance to apply senior architectural judgement with real ownership and continuity, shaping how enterprise architecture evolves in an era of cloud platforms, data‑driven decision‑making, and AI‑enabled systems while maintaining long‑term coherence and architectural integrity.
We believe that building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive environment for working and learning leads to a better workplace, better ideas and more inspiring conversations.
