The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise‑grade business intelligence solutions that empower data‑driven decision‑making. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, engineers, and analytics teams to transform complex data into intuitive, high‑value dashboards, reports, and data models. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled BI professional with deep expertise in Power BI, data modeling and enterprise data practices.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Design and develop Microsoft Power BI interactive reports that visually tell data stories and provide business insights
• Integrate data from diverse on-prem and cloud sources including Azure SQL, Oracle, Databricks, API endpoints, and third-party systems
• Engineer and optimize data connections with Dataverse
• Develop ETL scripts to clean and organize data and prepare it for storage and data analytics.
• Establish documentation standards for data models, dashboards, dataflows, and critical metrics
• Translating business needs into data reporting strategies and stories
• Implement BI governance, version control, report lifecycle management and workspace organization
Minimum Requirements
• U.S. Citizen with a Federal active Public Trust Clearance (must have)
• Minimum of 4 years designing and developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and integrations with complex datasets
• Minimum of 4 years of experience scripting in data engineering languages such as SQL and/or Python
• Experience developing on an Agile team using a service management board and participating in Agile ceremonies, to include sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, demos, and updating tickets
• Ability to be self-driven and proactive with planning, development, and customer engagement.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer management skills
Preferred Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
• Experience with Dataverse or other Azure Data sources
• DHS and/or U.S. Coast Guard experience
Pay: $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
