About the position
Responsibilities
• Interpret and verify medication orders.
• Review prescriber medication orders for potential issues such as dosing errors, contraindications, and drug interactions.
• Communicate with veterinarians and their staff, as well as pet parents, as required.
• Oversee and direct pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Provide ongoing training and coaching to pharmacy staff.
• Maintain necessary records to fulfill Federal and State legal requirements and pharmacy policies.
• Uphold operational standards including performance metrics, safety, and compliance.
• Perform related duties and assignments as directed by management.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Active pharmacy license in the state of Kentucky in good standing, as well as other states and credentials as required.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead a team effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work a variety of schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
