Seeking a part-time Data Analyst to support performance measurement, reporting, and data-driven decision-making for a District of Columbia–based client engagement.
This role focuses on an initial in depth audit, data management, dashboard development, routine analysis, and actionable reporting to support program performance, marketing effectiveness, and operational insights.
The position is execution-focused and does not require enterprise architecture, advanced machine learning, or strategic data transformation leadership.
Key Responsibilities
-Data Management & Preparation
-Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources (e.g., CRM, marketing platforms, program databases, spreadsheets)
-Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and documentation
-Maintain structured datasets and data dictionaries
Reporting & Dashboards
Design and maintain performance dashboards using tools such as:
-Looker Studio
-Tableau or Power BI
Produce recurring reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) including:
-Program performance metrics
-Marketing or outreach effectiveness
-Operational trends and KPIs
-Analysis & Insights
Conduct descriptive and trend analysis to identify:
-Patterns, anomalies, and performance drivers
-Opportunities for optimization
-Translate findings into clear, non-technical recommendations for stakeholders
Ad Hoc Support
-Respond to ad hoc data requests
-Support presentations and visual summaries for leadership
-Collaborate with program, marketing, and project teams to define measurement needs
Deliverables (Examples)
-Monthly KPI dashboard and narrative summary
-Quarterly performance analysis report
-Data quality audit and improvement recommendations
-Ad hoc analysis or visualization requests (as needed)
-Documentation of data sources, formulas, and methodologies
Required Qualifications
-3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or performance reporting
-Proficiency in:
Excel or Google Sheets (advanced)
SQL (basic to intermediate)
Data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI)
-Experience working with marketing, program, or operational data
-Strong ability to communicate insights to non-technical audiences
-Experience managing multiple priorities in a consulting or contract environment
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience supporting government, nonprofit, or public-sector clients
-Familiarity with:
Google Analytics (GA4)
Google Tag Manager
Meta or Google Ads reporting
-Basic statistical analysis skills
-Experience with CRM or marketing automation platforms
-Washington, DC–based or familiar with DC government reporting environments
