Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Marketing Specialist will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of downstream marketing initiatives for Malaysia. The role serves as the Marketing representative for Malaysia (Invisalign & iTero), with full responsibility for the execution planning, development, implementation, and budget management of all professional marketing activities for the Orthodontists (Ortho) and General Practitioner (GP) channels. This is a local market role.   The ideal candidate is hands-on, a fast learner, and comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving problems, collaborating effectively, and taking full ownership and accountability.   The candidate should demonstrate strong accountability, time management skills, is a team player, and is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role covering end-to-end responsibilities from planning to execution.   This position reports to the Associate Marketing Director for SG+.   Key Responsibilities In this role, you will… As part of SG+ marketing team, the Marketing Specialist will:   1. Marketing Leadership  ·       Lead downstream marketing execution for Invisalign and iTero. ·       Align iTero initiatives with local leadership and marketing teams. ·       Lead product launches and initiatives from planning to launch and post-launch review. ·       Manage pricing, terms, and commercial programs working closely with the iTero Territory Manager(s) and Sales Leads. ·       Support the Associate Marketing Director on development of annual and long-term plans.   2. Marketing Execution & Communication ·       Drive internal and external communication for product and marketing initiatives. ·       Localize and adapt global/regional collaterals with clinical, legal and regulatory alignment. ·       Develop HCP communication for launches, software updates, and promotions. ·       Ensure complete, compliant marketing content; manage translation needs where required. ·       Support the SG+ Marketing Team on consumer education execution, where required.   3. Ortho & GP Channel Enablement ·       Equip sales teams and stakeholders with tools and materials across the product mix. ·       Work with clinical and sales training teams to deliver product training to build strong sales capabilities. ·       Provide relevant sales support materials to maximize performance.   4. KOL, Events & Thought Leadership ·       Support clinical team in developing KOLs/advocates and provide support to clinical events. ·       Lead professional lead generation events to elevate Align’s visibility in the GP channel, working closely with clinical team. ·       Coordinate event planning, logistics, and alignment with stakeholder expectations. ·       Work with agencies to maintain brand consistency.   5. Promotions & Commercial Activities ·       Partner with SG+ Marketing Team to ensure clear promotional messaging and smooth local execution of programs. ·       Support logistic requirements for promotions and programs, where necessary. ·       Track program effectiveness and business impact. ·       Keep track of marketing gimmicks and materials for event usage as well as manage items in store room.   6. Insights, Operations & Budget ·       Lead market intelligence for MY (market trends, share, competitors, customer insights). ·       Integrate customer feedback into commercial and product solutions. ·       Manage A&P budgets for optimal ROI. ·       Support audits and quality management requirements.   Skills, Knowledge & Expertise In this role, you’ll need … Education & Experience ·       Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, engineering, technology, business, or related field. ·       3-4 years of experience in a local product management or product marketing role, ideally within medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or consumer goods. ·       Background in professional (HCP-facing) marketing preferred. ·       Experience in global, matrix, or fast-paced environments; startup or change-management experience is a plus. Technical Skills ·       Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions using data. ·       Proficient in SFDC, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is preferred. ·       Proven project management capability and ability to manage multiple initiatives. ·       Experienced in managing creative and events agencies. Leadership & Personal Attributes ·       Self-starter with a hands-on mindset and strong accountability and ownership. ·       Comfortable working independently and managing ambiguity. ·       Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. ·       Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills. ·       Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective in time management. ·       Ability to identify business opportunities and drive results. ·       Team player with the ability to explain/simplify complex technical topics to business audiences. Other ·       Ability to travel up to 20% locally within Malaysia. ·       High integrity, customer-focused, adaptable, and results-oriented.
