About the position
The Managing Art Director is a creative leader responsible for setting and maintaining the visual direction of the assigned brand(s) while managing and mentoring a team of art directors. This role blends strategic thinking, creative excellence, and operational leadership.
Responsibilities
• Lead art direction for all brand and product photography across campaigns and channels
• Develop creative concepts, shot lists, visual references, and briefs for photoshoots
• Partner closely with photographers, stylists, producers, and external vendors to execute creative vision
• Concept and design catalogs, including unique covers and text pages, while managing production timelines
• Develop creative concepts for cross-channel campaigns that support brand and business objectives
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of art directors through clear direction and constructive feedback
• Set creative standards and ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all deliverables
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• Present creative concepts, layouts, and photography direction to senior stakeholders
• Act as a creative partner to Marketing, Merchandising, and E-commerce teams to align on strategy and execution
• Balance creative excellence with production efficiency, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
• Complete or participate in special projects as assigned
• Stay current on industry trends, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the brand.

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• 3+ years of management experience
• 5+ years of experience in print and digital art direction and design
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong graphic design and typography skills.
