Manager, M&A Finance and Integration Job Description Our client, is a global Canadian company with a strong history of growth through acquisition. Reporting to the VP Finance, the role will be a part of a finance team supporting the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) process with a focus on integration. Key Responsibilities - Manage or assist with the accounting due diligence for acquisition targets, including the process of setting a working capital target, risk assessment, accounting compliance assessment and advising on post-acquisition needs. - Manage the acquisition finance integration and transition services process for acquired businesses. Coordinate with functional team leads in finance (AR, AP, Tax, Treasury) to ensure that all integration items are following the standard documented process for integrations. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders on customer billing and systems transition for the recently acquired companies (e.g. from their previous Accounting ERP system to Great Plains;  merchant service transition, etc.) - Support team in executing any head-office finance and audit deliverables pertaining to acquisitions. Includes purchase price accounting and intangible valuation. - Support new businesses acquired where finance support is required. This may include managing the overall business P&L for a new acquisition during the initial few months post-close and full cycle accounting processes including customer invoicing and collections, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis and corporate accounting compliance. - Contribute to continuous improvement with respect to the finance acquisition and integration process. - Provide coaching to the Assistant Manager, M&A Finance (offshore) - Manage quarter-end activities and deadlines including assisting with earn-out calculations and acquisition related disclosure schedules and deliverables - Assist with special projects for the executive team with respect to the finance M&A function. Technical and Educational Qualifications - University Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent experience - Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred - Experience in working through the Mergers and Acquisition process including diligence and integration is strongly preferred - Ability to manage and prioritize competing deliverables in a fast-paced environment.  - Superior verbal and written communication presentation and analytical skills with the ability to drive useful business insights, ability to think outside the box - Strong business acumen, with an ability to focus on continuous improvement - Ability to be a self-starter, proactive, and be able to work independently while navigating ambiguity and putting structure to ambiguous problems and seeing them through to solutions - Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Experience working with offshore and remote teams is a plus. - Experience with ERP and/or Finance transformation implementation initiatives and projects including understanding of financial applications (I.e General Ledger, Consolidation, Billing and Payment) - Financial knowledge in the software / IT field, specifically with financial operations and day to day accounting is a plus Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on basis of disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other legally protected status.  Salary Range (Ontario & BC Only): The estimated base salary range for this role is CAD$117,000.00 - CAD$143,000.00 per year.
