MakeUseOf is looking for News Writers to cover timely, informative technology news in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Coverage Areas Include:
- PC & Mobile: Laptops, desktops, smartphones (Android/iPhone), tablets, and peripherals.
- Technical: Networking, privacy, security, Linux, and "under-the-hood" hardware analysis.
- Software: Operating systems (Windows/macOS), productivity apps, web services, and AI tools.
- Screen: Streaming platforms, gaming consoles, TV hardware, and digital entertainment trends.
- Home: Smart home devices, IoT, homelab setups, and home office technology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute reliably and consistently under tight, news-cycle deadlines.
- Stay ahead of the latest technology news, product launches, and ecosystem updates.
- Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and constructive feedback.
- Input work into our in-house CMS according to editorial and SEO guidelines.

- Ability to work and coordinate within a US time zone.
