Job Overview
As an Insurance Customer Service Representative I, you'll play a vital role in our day-to-day operations, providing top-notch service to our customers and driving business growth through effective communication and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls, processing address change requests, claim-related calls, and payments, while providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues efficiently.
- Process discounts received through email or mail, applying judgment to determine effective dates and ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist senior customer service representatives in researching premium differences, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues.
- Develop strong technical skills using our insurance software and Microsoft Office platform, while gaining a deep understanding of insurance industry principles and our agency's policies and procedures.
- Process returned mail, correcting errors and striving to obtain working knowledge of impacts, to ensure seamless customer service.
- Cross-sell other lines of insurance and AAA products and services, elevating complex questions to the next level of customer service authority as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a customer service environment, preferably in insurance or a related field.
- Ability to obtain a P&C License within two years of job entry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in insurance customer service or a related field.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn our insurance software.
