About the position
Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking a Hybrid HR/Administrative Assistant to provide general HR and administrative support across the organization. The ideal candidate will assist with employee recordkeeping, onboarding, HR communications, and other administrative tasks in a hybrid environment.
This role requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Responsibilities
• Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance.
• Support benefits, payroll, and HR-related inquiries.
• Maintain HRIS data and ensure accuracy of employee records.
• Manage emails, scheduling, and general administrative tasks.
• Prepare HR and operational reports for management.
• Assist with internal communications and documentation.
• Work with HR, operations, and other teams to support projects and initiatives.
• Ensure timely completion of administrative and HR tasks.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and federal employment regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of administrative or HR support experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Nice-to-haves
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting hybrid or multi-state teams.
