The IT Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT procurement from Identifying, leading and oversee multifaceted sourcing projects consisting of software, hardware and maintenance in varying scale and complexity. You will serve as the procurement partner for key stakeholders involved in IT related purchasing decisions, ensuring effective communication and successful outcomes. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in cloud technology, enterprise rollouts, data analytics, vendor management, SaaS, and more. You should have an in-depth knowledge of the procurement process of identifying business and strategic needs that will help the organization’s digital transformation strategies and optimize ROI. This position requires a commitment to stakeholder relationships, cost savings, and maintaining internal and external partnerships. It is important for the IT Procurement Manager to have a well-rounded understanding of various technology domains to effectively lead and navigate the evolving IT landscape.
Present project updates to business owners, highlighting progress and challenges and executive summaries to leadership.
Drive efforts to eliminate non-value-added activities, and improve quality and service and reduce costs
Provide guidance and leadership to buyers, prioritizing their project activities and determining effective timelines.
Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies.
Adhere to corporate and divisional procurement guidelines and policies.
Provide support toward resolution of any grievances, claims, conflicts, product non-conformance or quality issues
Prepare statistical analysis of market trends for long range purchasing strategies
Analyze and evaluate all elements of cost and all procurement transactions of assigned projects for maximum cost improvement
Determine method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid
Author/facilitate strategic documents such as Project Charters, RFx, detailed project plans
Drive cross-functional teams to identify, prepare, and/or ensure completion of high quality, professional deliverables as required by each project plan. Facilitate development of clear project scopes
Prioritize their project activities into manageable work efforts and determine an effective approach and timeline to completing the work
Monitor and report on project activities and reporting on status within published timelines
Follow corporate and divisional procurement guidelines and policies
