Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team and drive our mission forward through compelling and strategic grant proposals. In this role, you will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, developing persuasive proposals, and managing grant applications from inception to completion. Your expertise will help secure vital funding that supports program development, organizational growth, and community impact. Duties Grant Writing & Development • Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports. • Collaborate with program staff to gather data, outcomes, and stories to support proposals. • Ensure all grant materials align with funder guidelines and organizational goals. Research & Prospecting • Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources. • Maintain a calendar of deadlines and assist in prioritizing opportunities based on alignment and deadlines. Documentation & Reporting • Track submitted proposals and reporting requirements. • Assist in preparing interim and final reports for funders. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the grant management system. Team Collaboration • Participate in grant team meetings and strategy sessions. • Support the Executive Director and senior grant writers with administrative and writing tasks. • Coordinate with finance and program teams to gather necessary budget and program information. Qualifications Required • Strong writing, editing, and research skills. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively. Preferred • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field. • 1–2 years of experience in grant writing or nonprofit development. • Familiarity with grant databases and CRM systems (Foundation Directory Online, instrumentl). Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour Experience: • Grant Writing: 5 years (Required) • Non profit grants: 3 years (Required) Location: • Minnesota (Required) Work Location: Remote
