EN Communications, a sector of ENTRUST Solutions Group, is seeking a GIS Technician to enhance and update critical data platforms. The role involves data entry, analytical processes, and collaboration with project managers to improve operational efficiency and communication with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and update critical data platforms by entering, modifying, and analyzing data to support operational efficiency
- Consistently meet or exceed productivity and quality standards while adhering to project timelines and budget constraints
- Ensure clear and professional communication, providing timely updates in appropriate formats
- Critically evaluate workflows and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of more effective processes
- Identify key information to be communicated to clients and stakeholders through collaboration with team leads and project managers
Skills
- One-year related work experience or GIS certification
- Working knowledge of basic software programs such as Microsoft Office and ArcGIS
- Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in GIS related discipline, is preferred
- Prior experience utilizing GIS software in the utility or pipeline industry preferred
- Knowledge of CADD is a plus
- Solid working knowledge of client GIS specifications
