**The Role**
As an Experienced Telephone Caller, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to RNIB beneficiaries and supporters, providing them with relevant information, and opportunities to connect with others in similar situations. **Key Responsibilities**
* Make outbound calls to RNIB beneficiaries and supporters to provide them with relevant information and opportunities to connect with others in similar situations
* Share information about available services, ways to connect with others, and opportunities to play a positive role in removing barriers in society
* Make brief, accurate notes in the customer contact record to support your conversations
* Work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals and objectives
* Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest information and best practices
**Essential Qualifications**
* Aged 18 or over
* Two references
* Reliable broadband and a laptop or PC with access to an RNIB virtual desktop
* A quiet and confidential space at home when making calls
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Friendly, empathetic, and non-judgmental disposition
* Ability to listen well, acknowledge, and build rapport with individuals
* Sociable nature and ability to put people at ease
* Confidence with IT and experience of MS Windows and common software
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience of working with individuals with sight loss or other disabilities
* Knowledge of RNIB services and resources
* Experience of making outbound calls or working in a customer-facing role
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
