Job Summary
The remote data entry position at arenaflex is a unique opportunity for individuals who are self-motivated, organized, and proficient in data entry equipment, word processing, and verbal recordings. As a data entry specialist, you will be responsible for transferring data from one source to another, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home, as long as you reside in the USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Transferring data from paper formats via computer, recorders, or scanners, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Entering data into appropriate fields, including databases, records, and files, using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel spreadsheets
- Handling numerical data accurately, creating spreadsheets, and organizing them with large numbers
- Curating data directly from speech or interviews, and updating databases or records with new information as it becomes available
- Correcting and modifying inaccurate files and records, and typing data directly and accurately
- Complying with security backups and regular checks to ensure data is saved and stored properly, and summarizing data for standardized reports
- Viewing and verifying confidential or private customer/client information, protecting the information and identities of customers/clients
- Verifying data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation, and organizing paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as needed
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Accurate and precise attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Skilled knowledge in generating process documentation, and the ability to assist team members when needed to accomplish team goals
- Fast and accurate typing skills, with the ability to speak confidently, clearly, and professionally for voice recording data
- Understanding of data confidentiality principles, and the ability to follow them to the letter
- High school diploma, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in business, administration, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Prior experience handling data entry responsibilities or equivalent experience in a related field
- Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to learn and grow with the company
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision, with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel spreadsheets
- Knowledge of touch typing system (preferred)
