About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Wound Management team at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to adults with various wound and ostomy needs, including venous and arterial ulcers, diabetic/neuropathic foot ulcers, post-surgical wound dehiscence, and soft tissue/necrotic wounds
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure optimal wound healing and patient satisfaction
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in wound management
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols to improve patient care and outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research studies to advance the field of wound management
Essential Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the state of Texas
- BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Strong knowledge of wound management principles, practices, and protocols
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in wound management or a related field
- Certification in wound management (e.g., CWCN, CWOCN, or CWS)
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support junior staff members
- Participation in professional organizations and attendance at industry conferences and workshops
