Our team of dedicated professionals is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our patients and customers, and we are seeking like-minded individuals to join our team. **Key Responsibilities** As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences, providing courteous and efficient service, and assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy. Your key responsibilities will include: * Registering sales on assigned cash register and providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader * Performing duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions * Reporting, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program * Handling telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians * Processing (correcting and resubmitting) manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner * Assisting and supporting Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals * Maintaining knowledge of Company asset protection techniques and filing claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves) * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required * PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment * Knowledge of pharmacy systems and procedures * Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent customer service skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office * Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
