**Job Summary**
As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for new customers, providing support and guidance on our products and services. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Processing new orders, responding to questions, and resolving issues in a timely manner
* Collecting co-pays and deductible amounts
* Conducting insurance verification and eligibility for services/products
* Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines
* Maintaining accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data input
* Managing all aspects of initial intake, including answering phone calls, receiving faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, and processing paperwork
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, referral sources, and employees
* Process new orders, respond to questions, and resolve issues in a timely manner
* Collect co-pays and deductible amounts
* Conduct insurance verification and eligibility for services/products
* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines

* Manage all aspects of initial intake, including answering phone calls, receiving faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, and processing paperwork
* Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered by arenaflex and all applicable governmental regulations
* Provide education to referral sources, patients, and employees on qualifications for service and 3rd party billing
* Provide product/service information by answering questions and offering assistance
* Provide technical assistance to customers as required
* Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
* High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
* Experience with medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement, preferred
* Experience in the medical field and administrative record management, preferred
* One year of related work experience, preferred
* Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
* Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written
* Ability to interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual)
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information
* Self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
