Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled copywriter to contract with our Interactive Experiences Marketing Communications group. Under the guidance of an Associate Creative Director, you will play a pivotal role in writing the words that define the customer shopping experience across our website, Store app, and emerging digital platforms. Your responsibilities will include crafting clear, concise way-finding copy to guide shoppers through purchases, as well as writing compelling headlines and body copy for direct marketing, retail programs, and apps. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team that includes UX Designers, Art Directors, Developers, and Product Managers, working together to build innovative and seamless shopping experiences.

• Write clear, concise, conversational copy that guides customers through shopping experiences and inspires them to buy products.
• Represent the customer’s perspective and be considerate of how we communicate with them.
• Absorb and digest detailed business documents and map them to the overall goal of a project.
• Partner with Art Directors and UX Designers to create groundbreaking digital concepts, platforms, and shopping experiences.
• Collaborate with ACDs, Product Marketing, Product Managers, Engineers, and Editors to refine copy until it’s perfect.
• Meet deadlines and keep producers informed of progress.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in e-commerce, digital technologies, and Apple products.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a combination of strategic insight, writing talent, and a passion for learning and innovation. The ideal candidate will have:

• 7-10 years of experience at an advertising agency, digital agency, or in-house creative group for a major or upcoming brand.
• A promising portfolio that demonstrates strategic insight and writing talent through marketing campaigns and digital customer experiences.
• A love for writing, including both copywriting and UX writing.
• Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into simple, compelling narratives.
• Extreme attention to detail and a willingness to take risks, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve.
• Enthusiasm for learning the mechanics of systems and the architecture of experiences.
