**The Role**
We are seeking an experienced full stack software engineer to join our data platform team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable and efficient web and cloud applications that support our business needs. You will work closely with our data engineers, data scientists, and product managers to understand our business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design and develop scalable and efficient web and cloud applications using a variety of programming languages and technologies
* Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and product managers to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs
* Develop and maintain high-quality code that is well-documented and follows industry best practices
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase
* Work with our data platform teams to develop and deploy data pipelines and data warehouses
* Collaborate with our engineering teams to develop and deploy microservices and APIs
* Participate in the development of our data platform roadmap and contribute to the design of new features and technologies
**Essential Qualifications**
* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems or applications
* Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices
* Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages
* Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
* Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
* Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
* Experience with data storage systems such as relational databases or NoSQL databases
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
* Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
* Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
* Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
