Job Title: Epic HIM Analyst Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6month Contract-Hire Daily Working Hours: Full-Time Travel: Remote • Work authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship • No Third Parties Please Project Scope We are seeking an Epic HIM Analyst to support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Epic Health Information Management (HIM) applications. This role will support operational workflows including deficiency tracking, coding, release of information, and identity management to ensure accurate medical records management and compliance with organizational standards. Position Summary The Epic HIM Analyst serves as the primary support contact for HIM application areas and works closely with operational teams to ensure system functionality aligns with organizational workflows and regulatory requirements. The analyst is responsible for troubleshooting system issues, supporting workflow design, coordinating with Epic representatives, and ensuring the application effectively supports HIM operations and clinical documentation processes. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary support contact for HIM application end users. • Support HIM application areas including deficiency tracking, coding, release of information, and identity management. • Identify and troubleshoot issues within the HIM application and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams. • Guide workflow design, system configuration, and testing for Epic HIM functionality. • Analyze technical issues and support system optimization efforts. • Implement requested system changes and enhancements. • Serve as liaison between end users and Epic implementation or support teams. • Maintain communication with Epic representatives and participate in project team meetings. • Work with business stakeholders to ensure the system meets operational requirements and project timelines. • Participate in training activities and support end-user education. • Monitor project and issue status and communicate updates to leadership. • Facilitate team discussions on project progress, issues, and upcoming milestones. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience & Skills • Epic certification in the respective application required upon hire or obtained within 9 months of employment. • Prior analyst experience supporting HIM systems preferred. • Knowledge of HIM workflows including chart tracking, release of information, deficiency tracking, and coding. • Familiarity with transcription, scanning workflows, and associated vendors. • Understanding of confidentiality, privacy guidelines, and medical records compliance requirements. • Experience working with Epic HIM modules preferred. • Understanding of workflow interactions between HIM and other departments such as clinical teams, billing, and medical records. • Familiarity with system interfaces between Epic applications. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
