Position Overview This full‑time, remote internship is designed for college students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree and are eager to gain hands‑on experience in airline operations, data analysis, and customer care. Over the course of three consecutive semesters, you will rotate through critical OCC functions, support strategic decision‑making, and collaborate with seasoned professionals across Load Control, Fuel Management, and broader operational teams. Key Responsibilities - Operations Support: Assist the OCC team in monitoring daily flight operations, identifying disruptions, and escalating issues to the appropriate functional groups. - Load Control Assistance: Work with the Load Control Center to help balance aircraft weight, calculate fuel requirements, and ensure compliance with airline and regulatory guidelines. - Fuel Management Projects: Contribute to initiatives that optimize fuel consumption, develop forecasting models, and support cost‑saving strategies for the $14 billion annual fuel budget. - Data Collection & Reporting: Gather operational data, prepare daily and weekly performance dashboards, and use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to communicate findings to senior leaders. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with avionics engineers, flight planners, and customer service representatives to resolve functional business challenges. - Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for workflow automation, suggest enhancements to existing SOPs, and participate in pilot projects that increase efficiency. - Customer Interaction: Provide timely, accurate information to internal stakeholders and, when appropriate, to passengers, reinforcing arenaflex’s reputation for exemplary service. - Learning & Development: Attend training sessions, webinars, and mentorship meetings to build industry‑specific knowledge and technical competencies. Essential Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a four‑year undergraduate program (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field). - Availability to work remotely for three consecutive semesters, Monday‑Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (ET) in the Atlanta, GA time zone. - Maintain enrollment status at an accredited institution throughout the internship period. - Demonstrated eagerness to learn new tools and concepts, willingness to experiment, and resilience in the face of setbacks. - Strong teamwork orientation with a “team‑first” mindset; ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor in both group and individual settings. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization) and PowerPoint. - Commitment to safety and wellness—for yourself, teammates, and the broader organization. - High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
