The Opportunity Cortico-X is seeking an Associate Principal to lead data product strategy and advisory for our clients. In this role, you'll work directly with senior client stakeholders to understand their business challenges and design transformative data and AI solutions. While technical fluency is essential, this is primarily a strategic and client-facing role—you'll guide technical teams and validate approaches, but your focus is on client leadership, solution design, and delivery management. What You’ll Do Client Leadership & Strategy - Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and VP-level stakeholders - Lead discovery sessions to identify data and AI opportunities - Translate business objectives into technical roadmaps and solution architectures - Present recommendations and solution demos to executive audiences - Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand engagements Product Design & Advisory - Apply design thinking to create user-centric data products - Design end-to-end solutions that balance value, feasibility, and risk - Define product roadmaps and phased delivery plans that show quick wins - Ensure alignment with best practices in data governance, security, and ethical AI Team Leadership & Technical Guidance - Lead cross-functional teams of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts - Provide direction on data architecture, modeling, pipelines, and platform selection - Guide teams working with modern data stacks (Spark, SQL, Databricks, cloud platforms) - Build occasional prototypes or POCs to validate approaches (helpful but not required) - Conduct quality reviews to ensure deliverables meet client expectations Requirements    What You’ll Bring Experience - 7–10 years in data/AI consulting, product management, or data engineering - 3+ years in client-facing advisory roles - Proven success managing senior stakeholder relationships and leading technical teams - Background in consulting (MBB, Big 4, or boutique firms) preferred Technical Knowledge - Strong understanding of data architecture, modeling, and modern data platforms - Working knowledge of SQL, Spark, and cloud ecosystems (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS/GCP/Azure) - Solid grasp of AI/ML concepts and implementation approaches - Ability to evaluate technical approaches and guide engineering teams Advisory & Consulting Skills - Exceptional communication and presentation skills - Strong facilitation skills for workshops and stakeholder alignment - Experience with design thinking, agile delivery, and product management frameworks - Strategic problem-solving abilities and comfort managing multiple engagements Personal Qualities - Executive presence and credibility with senior leaders - Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset - Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments Why Join Cortico-X - Lead high-impact engagements with Fortune 500 companies and innovative startups - Shape data and AI strategies at the executive level - Fully remote with flexible work arrangements - Competitive compensation including base salary, performance bonuses, and strong benefits Salary: Actual compensation is influenced by many factors including skill set, experience, and qualifications.
