Summary of position The Corporate Compliance Officer (CCO) will be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance programs to ensure that the organization adheres to legal standards and internal policies. The CCO will work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to develop compliance strategies, enforce policies, and mitigate risks associated with compliance failures. This is a remote role with occasional onsite travel to corporate office in Blue Bell, PA. Essential functions Compliance Strategy Development • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements • Collaborate with senior management to identify compliance risks and devise strategies to mitigate them Policy Management • Draft, revise, and enforce compliance policies and procedures • Ensure that all organizational policies are up-to-date and communicated effectively to all employees Monitoring and Auditing • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary Training and Education • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels • Promote a culture of compliance through ongoing education and communication Reporting and Analysis • Prepare and present compliance reports to the CEO and senior executives • Analyze compliance-related data and trends to inform decision-making Regulatory Liaison • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and stakeholders regarding compliance matters • Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure organizational compliance Risk Management • Assess compliance risks associated with business operations and recommend strategies to reduce exposure • Work with other departments to integrate compliance considerations into business plans and processes Privacy Officer • Serve as Columbus' Privacy Officer overseeing all HIPAA compliance initiatives Ethics and Compliance Investigations • Educate all employees about the Ethics and Compliance Hotline • Complete all investigations of ethics violations and compliance issues Position requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or equivalent four years of related experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs, preferably within the healthcare industry • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role Skills, knowledge, and abilities • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOX, etc.) • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization • High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to promoting compliance culture • Proficiency in compliance management software and tools, as well as standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) • Ability to analyze compliance-related data and trends for effective reporting and decision-making
