Job Description
Title: Copywriter
Reports to: Writing Team Manager
Location: Remote
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and monitor current marketing and political trends and culture;
- Develop a repository of innovative ideas and message positioning to be used for clients when required;
- Have detailed knowledge of the objectives of the client and the target audience of each project;
- Utilize research, knowledge and personal creativity to generate the desired outcomes and objectives;
- Collaborate with clients, account executives and graphic designers in the development of written content for a wide variety of platforms including but not limited to: direct mail, landing pages, websites, blogs, social media, banner ads, interstitial ads, brochures, yard signs and bill boards;
- Write copy for a variety of formats;
- Analyze advertising trends and monitor competitive advertising;
- Develop reports, proposals and presentations as needed;
- Proofread your work and that of others to ensure an error-free output;
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of professional experience in advertising, marketing, communications, direct mail or digital copywriting
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English or related field
- Demonstrated experience and track record in writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Experience with political or policy clients and understanding their unique needs a significant plus
- Proven track record of success in time sensitive, project oriented professional environment
- Working knowledge of digital media/advertising
- High level of proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Creative, self-starting, and motivated
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
- Ability to judge creative concepts and copy and to clearly communicate creative direction to others
- Ability to collaborate with senior executive peers in Sales, Operations, and other functional areas
