Job Summary: The Breast Radiologist is a critical member of SimonMed Imaging’s subspecialty radiology team, focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic breast imaging and image-guided procedures. This role exists to support early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer and related conditions while providing an exceptional patient experience. The radiologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary breast care team and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts. Job Duties: - Interpret screening and diagnostic 2D/3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. - Communicate diagnostic findings effectively with referring providers and patients when appropriate. - Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, including tumor boards and case reviews. - Contribute to protocol development and quality assurance in compliance with ACR and MQSA guidelines. - Ensure timely report turnaround and high standards of patient care. - Stay current with emerging technologies, AI tools, and best practices in breast imaging. Education and Experience: - MD or DO with completion of a radiology residency and fellowship in breast imaging or women’s imaging. - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or equivalent). - Minimum 2 years of post-training experience preferred; recent fellowship graduates considered. - Experience with high-volume outpatient or hybrid imaging settings preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Advanced proficiency in mammography, breast ultrasound, and MRI interpretation. - Skilled in performing a range of breast biopsies and localizations. - Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and voice recognition systems (experience with Philips and Inteal Rad preferred). - Understanding of ACR, BI-RADS, and MQSA compliance standards. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and referring providers. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. - Passion for patient-centered care, innovation, and clinical quality.
