Future teaching assignments are on a semester-by-semester basis, which may include fall, spring and summer. The College of Education and Human Development’s Department of Counseling and Psychology is seeking an adjunct to contribute to our goal of accessible, affordable, and quality education as well as our core values of integrity, innovation, creativity, excellence, caring support, and community connection. Job Summary: The faculty member will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Psychology. Additional responsibilities may include student academic advising, engaging in university events, and conducting research and scholarship activities. Minimum Requirements: A Master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field is required for undergraduate courses, and a Doctorate degree is required for graduate courses. Both degrees must be approved by the university and recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. approved by the university and recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as appropriate to Psychology or a closely related field. Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level that includes active engagement of students in the learning process. Experience teaching online courses that include integration of research-based practices in online course design and delivery Additional Qualifications: Ability in the discipline and clear promise of teaching excellence as evidenced in evaluation by peers, department head, and college dean. A record of scholarly activity beyond that required for completion of the terminal degree. Must possess the minimum credential standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC), which include at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the subject area of suitable approved justifications. Effective communicator who can collaborate with a multifaceted group of stakeholders.
