Currently in eight cities across the country, we are positioning ourselves for future growth and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join the National Team.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager as a member of the National team, the AR Analyst will be responsible for invoicing, making deposits, reconciling, and collecting on past due accounts. Prompt reconciliation and resolution of all customer disputes as well as provide timely reporting of collection results is a major component for this position and key to the Genesys Works mission.
Essential Job Functions
- Establish excellent relationships with sites to assist in billing and collection efforts.
- Work closely with the payroll department to help facilitate the AR invoicing.
- Prepare invoices based on the payroll reconciliation report.
- Receive and apply deposits to appropriate client accounts.
- Collect past due balances.
- Manage the collection process by inspecting the AR aging report on a regular basis. This includes utilizing spreadsheet models to track potential problems.
- Conduct research to assist with the resolution of payment discrepancies, errors, misapplied payments and unapplied payments.
- Provide weekly updates to the sites concerning unresolved issues.
- Perform general office duties for department as needed.
Essential Job Qualifications
- Deep belief in organizational mission
- Two to four years of accounts receivable and collections experience, preferably experience collecting from large, multinational organizations
- Successful track record in collecting past due accounts
- Exceptional communication skills (see Essential Characteristics)
- Must have an assertive, positive attitude, and good customer service skills
- Experience working with all staff levels from executive management to program staff
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Sage and Salesforce experience a plus
- Associates degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Management required. Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
